GULF COAST HUT-TO-HUT TRAIL SYSTEM
In partnership with the State of Alaska, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, the University of Alaska developed a hut-to-hut trail system on State land within the Yakataga State Game Refuge. This project is located in a remote area of Alaska on the Gulf Coast between the Seal and Tsiu Rivers. The area has spectacular views and is well known for fishing and bear viewing. The project includes two cabins, one located on Midtimber Lake and the other located on Vitus Lake. To reserve the cabins, please visit the State of Alaska, State Parks website.
